Lynda Quintero Davis – A WOW Woman to Follow

Life is getting VERY busy with many new and exciting local design projects along with the official 2014 launch of my new business, the KITCHEN DESIGN NETWORK with my partner Lori Gilder from L.A. This morning I took a few minutes to catch up on some blogs I enjoy reading and one that I was wowed by was Lynda Quintero Davis  of FOCAL POINT Styling. What a year she’s had, I was blown away to see all that she’s done. I haven’t found the time yet to do my year in review yet so I though I’d share her’s with you because Lynda and I have a lot of the same interests. She shares a passion for combining new pieces with flea market finds, tag sales or repurposed pieces, she has a love of vintage, consignment thrill discoveries and especially Home Goods. She also loves a good “makeover project” and changing the look of a current piece in her home with a can of paint and a brush, also something I share in common with her. Lynda developed a passion for this through her father and I got mine from my mom who as a fine painter was always painting furniture from the time I was a young child. Here’s a little bit of what Lynda shared. YEAR IN REVIEW: MY 2013 REWIND PART I

By far, my theme of 2013 had to be the quote from Roosevelt – “Do what you can, where you are, with what you have!”  I haven’t been able to do as many outdoor projects, like refinishing furniture or gardening because of the Arizona heat (and cold weather temps too!), but life on line has been steadily growing. This past year I was fortunate enough to meet several online connections in real life, plus even start up a new venture of setting up Pinterest Business pages for companies. Along with a local makeover, a few home projects, new collaborations and travel to LA + back east to NJ and Miami, here is a look back on some of my highlights of 2013 I’m grateful for, and hope to do more of and grow going forward into 2014. (While pulling together this post, I noticed it was quite long, so I’m dividing it into two parts: Part 1 – January – August. Part 2 – September – December) See more

Visit her site FOCAL POINT Styling for the whole “enchilada” (Lynda resides in Arizona so naturally Mexican food was the first thing that came to me)  I was fortunate to meet Lynda at the Design Bloggers Conference this past year in L.A. and she couldn’t have been nicer ( and gorgeous to boot) ! Follow Lynda and you’ll learn so many clever ways to style and decorate your own home and Home Goods agrees. Congratulations on a WOW year Lynda.
